Kudukloof Guesthouse
Yes, a 4×4 vehicle is needed to access Kudukloof. Please note, the lodge is an off-grid Karoo mountain stay and the road leading from the N1 highway up to Kudukloof lodge requires a 4×4 (all-wheel) vehicle.
Check-in at Kudukloof is 14h00.
Check-out at Kudukloof is 10h00.
Smoking is NOT allowed at Kudukloof Mountain Lodge.
No, Kudukloof is not pet friendly. Pets (dogs, cats, birds and other domesticated animals) are not permitted at Kudukloof.
Please note: Kudukloof is situated within a natural reserve area and free-roaming wildlife, birds of prey and various antelope species are common sightings. For the safety of all pets, owners and the native wildlife, we ask that you do not bring your pets to Kudukloof.
Yes, Kudukloof has electricity. However, please note that Kudukloof is an off-grid stay and electricity usage is limited.
Kudukloof Mountain Lodge sleeps up to 16 guests, accommodating a maximum of 12 adults and 4 children.
Kudukloof has seven bedrooms, six of which are furnished with king-size beds and one which is furnished with two sets of bunk beds for children.
Kudukloof has three bathrooms. Towels and basic bathroom amenities are provided.
- 1st bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.
- 2nd bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin.
- 3rd bathroom is fitted with a bath, overhead shower, toilet and basin.

Yes, Kudukloof has uncapped WiFi available for all guests.
No, there are no televisions (TVs) at Kudukloof Mountain Lodge.
Yes, Kudukloof has a fireplace. There is a large fireplace in the communal lounge area that is ideal for keeping the lodge warm and toasty during the cold winter months.
Guests will receive one bundle of firewood included in their stay. For additional firewood is available at R25 per bag / per bundle (approximately 10 pieces of wood).
Please contact us via email to order or arrange any additional firewood bundles prior to your visit.
Kudukloof’s lounge and dining area opens onto a large deck featuring a splash pool, wood-fired hot tub and a fire pit boma with BBQ / braai facilities. The deck boasts magnificent views of the surrounding Karoo mountains and remote Western Cape countryside.
Kudukloof Mountain Lodge is only 10 minutes down the road (9kms) from Aquila Private Game Reserve and Spa. Great for families and groups, Aquila Big 5 Safaris is a favourite nearby attraction and has seven different day trip options for guests to book.
Self-Catering Information
Yes, Kudukloof is self-catering. Please note: there are no catering services available and the nearest supermarket is located 60km (45 minutes away).
The kitchen at Kudukloof is well equipped for self-catering and includes a stove, oven, fridge, kettle, toaster as well as cutlery, crockery and glassware.
The nearest grocery store or supermarket is located in Worcester, approximately 60km (37 miles) and 45 minutes away.
However, for basic necessities like bread, milk and convenience items, the Engen Fuel Station in Touws River (N1 National Road, Touws River, 6880) is located approximately 9km (5.5 miles) and 10 minutes away.
